What is Water?

Water is a chemical compound that is made out of 2 hydrogen atom and 1 oxygen atom. Water is the most abundant liquid on the surface of the earth.

Pure water doesn’t have any colors or smell, it is clean and tasteless.

Water can be found as a liquid, solid, or gas. If water is cooled to 0 degree Celsius or lower, water would transform into ice, a solid form of water.

On the other hand, at 100 degree Celsius, water will boil and will transform into gas, a form of invisible vapor.

All forms of life on earth needs water. Water covers about 70% of earth’s surface and is also present inside, under the ground.

Water falls down to earth in the form of rain, snow, or hail. Water that keeps flowing from high places like mountains will scrape the ground and rock formations before it arrived in the lower places like the sea.
